JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage Procurement and SCM functions and provide a leadership for this function based out of Centre of Excellence, New Delhi Office.
  • Key role in developing the company’s international business.
  • Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to development, construction, and operation of the company’s solar farms
  • Work collaboratively with the management and design team to coordinate supplier selection, credit and terms, track supplier performance standards, and conduct ongoing evaluation.
  • Manage contract negotiation process on price, terms and conditions (including insurance and delivery, terms of payment, and warranty)
  • Optimize the efficiency and cost of EPC & Equipment by updating costing models on a regular basis
  • Manage the logistic process internationally with the team and ensure the timely delivery of the material at construction site
  • Establish purchasing development plan, including material purchasing, price control suppliers’ management
  • Establish and maintain EPC & Equipment vendor performance management process and database
  • Request bids from suppliers for scope outlined by technical staff
  • Create spreadsheets with vendor & product or service comparisons of prospective suppliers to support management decisions.
  • Prepare and communicate to the Design and Construction teams – product availability, lead times, and cost roadmaps for key materials.
  • Monitor and support returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.
  • Play an active role in mentoring junior team members on procurement best practices

 

PROFILE & ELIGIBLE CRITERIA

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the solar equipment procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or similar relevant fields
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong understanding and experience in procurement practices specific to bidding, tendering, RFP’s, RFQ’s, negotiations and contracts
  • Knowledge and experience on contract management and execution
  • Strong financial analysis skills and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking skills including an ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
  • Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset. Looks for the solution not the problem
  • Ability to work well in a flexible, “roll up your sleeves” and dynamic work environment
  • Flexible to travel internationally at short notice
